Display Functionalities¶
Accessible from the Display:¶
On-Screen Installation Wizard
- Guided setup process directly on the display
- Helps the user through the initial printer setup
- Choose the specific printer model for accurate configuration
- Installs Wi-Fi modules as part of the setup flow
- Flashes Klipper to the required sub-systems
- Designed to get the printer ready to use with minimal manual intervention
Language Settings
- Change the interface language
- Supported languages include English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, and Russian
Display and System Settings
- Adjust screen brightness and dimmed brightness
- Set screen dim delay timing
- Set screen saver delay timing
- The display can first dim and later turn fully off based on user-defined timings
- Display state (on/dimmed/off) can be synchronized with the case light
- Enable or disable the buzzer sound
High Quality and Lightning-Fast Thumbnail Transmission
- Fast thumbnail transfer for near-instant print preview in the file explorer (~30 ms)
- Non blocking - browser fast through all your files with no "forced break" - life is too short for that ;)
- "Transparent thumbnails background" for nicer looks - no white background. You deserve better!
Temperature Control
- Set and monitor extruder temperature
- Set and monitor bed temperature
- Set and monitor chamber temperature
- Quick toggle control for nozzle, bed, and chamber heaters
Fan and Light Control
- Set and monitor part fan speed
- Set and monitor filter fan speed (if available on your printer)
- Set and monitor side fan speed (if available on your printer)
- Quick toggle control for part fan, filter fan, and side fan
- Control case light (on/off/dim)
- Synchronize the case light with display dimming and screen saver behavior
Printer Movement and Positioning

Custom On-Screen Macros

- Default presets are preheat macros for PLA, ABS/ASA, PETG, and TPU
- Rename each macro to match your preferred workflow
- Customize each macro's behavior based on your own needs
Print Management
- Browse all saved G-code files and start print jobs
- Browse files and folders in multiple directory levels
- Support for USB sticks with nested subfolders through the file explorer
- Sort files in the explorer, with default sorting by newest first or alternatively alphabetically
- Fast thumbnail transfer for near-instant print preview in the file explorer (~30 ms)
- Pause, resume, or stop a print job
- Adjust Z-height (babystepping) during printing

Print Job Status

- One-line terminal output on "prinjob screen" for debugging and deeper inspection
- Especially useful for users running Beacon, Cartographer, Eddy, or other advanced probes
