FreeDi Software Installation¶
Installing FreeDi:¶
We have arrived to the last step! Installing FreeDi to get your screen working and enjoy the new functions accesible in the UI!

Connect to your printer via SSH.

Run the command below to download and install FreeDi in your system:
cd ~ && git clone https://github.com/Phil1988/FreeDi ~/FreeDi && cd ~/FreeDi && ./install.sh
This will install everything for you. It will also start a firmware update automatically for your screen.
The install script will setup an autostart entry for the LCD software for your printer.
The screen should work after the next boot!
Troubleshooting
Please check the terminal output if any issue happens.
See gathering the terminal output if anything seems off.
#4 Enjoy it!¶
If everything works, you will see the Home screen on your printer.
